I shot this from my parents backyard about 4 pm in the afternoon as yet another severe storm rolled in from the Northwest. The week I stayed at my parents, that area had over 80 tornadoes As a kid, I use to sit here at the edge of our windbreak and watch the storms build. You can actually see the rain stream in this photo (the dark area).

Emm, I absolutely love this shot that you took! This makes me miss Iowa soooo much. I love Iowa, and I really loved staying at your parents home. I can imagine that it was a great place to watch storms come in.
Also a side note, I know Prairie du Chen, that is where I had to take my field class on a side trip to the hospital to make sure that Autumn was okay because I had some spotting. That is when we found out for sure that Autumn was a girl.
ah, iowa. she's so beautiful to me. i do miss these views....
